FRIDAY DECEMER 12th: 12 MIDNITE'S AMAZING $99.99 Sale
LUCKY RED PRESENTS

THE AMAZING 12 MIDNITE $99.99 CASH AND CARRY ART SHOW
FRIDAY DECEMBER 12: 8-11PM

To celebrate a phenomenal year of change and good fortune, Lucky Red gives you, the lowbrow legions, a chance to own a piece of pop art history for pennies on the dollar with a one-night-only show by Canadian lowbrow institution 12 MIDNITE.

With prices for MIDNITE'S new work becoming inaccessible to many would-be art collectors, The amazing 12 MIDNITE cash and carry art show is LUCKY RED and MIDNITE'S way to share the wealth despite doom-and-gloom predictions for troubled economic times ahead, offering one-time bargains to new and old fans alike.
Included will be many never-before-seen paintings in various sizes and formats as well as reworked older pieces from the past. You can also pick up a 12 MIDNITE coloring book, T-shirt or other random merchandise from the LUCKY RED archives, so there's something for everyone's budget, even if your stock portfolio has tanked and the repo man is after your escalade.

For under a hundred bucks, you can fill that blank spot on the wall or a loved-one's christmas stocking with original art by one of Canada's most influential and collected artists of the last quarter century, all because we at LUCKY RED think you deserve it for the support you've given us, and frankly, we can't very well put on the art shows you've come to know and love if the gallery's used as a storage space for midnite's prodigious output.

While 12 MIDNITE'S latest work concentrates on a return to the use of neon to accent his familiar neo-pop style, playing on cues usually associated with advertising and marquee signs, often on a very large scale, these pieces have always been by their very nature expensive, and prices are rapidly rising, as a new generation of well-heeled collectors has stepped up to the lowbrow trough. Unless you've been under a post-modernist, photo-based rock, you'll have noted that Lowbrow or Pop-surrealism has become the movement most avidly collected by savvy investors, with values raising seemingly daily and 12 MIDNITE is generally acknowledged as one of, if not the most influential and long-lived Canadian practitioner within this style.

A new litter of MIDNITE'S neon offspring , along with a collection of historical 12 MIDNITE neon pieces from over the last 20 years will be presented in a full scale extravaganza at Chapel Arts in the spring. We'll keep you posted.

You can also get a peek at "SMASHUP!" one of 12 MIDNITE'S major new neon-lit masterpieces December 15th-January 11th at the JEM GALLERY'S "Neon: it's a gas!" show.

Until then, fill your lowbrow quota on Friday, December 12th at LUCKY RED with THE AMAZING 12 MIDNITE $99.99 cash and carry art show. You'll be glad you did.
